ADX sees bearish trend on Tuesday
The ADX’s general index dipped by 6.45 points

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in the red territory amid the downward trend seen by listed blue-chip stocks.

The ADX’s general index dipped by 6.45 points, or 0.13%, to 5,081.53 points.

Trading volume amounted to 76.69 million shares that were exchanged through 1,543 transactions at a turnover of AED 117.31 million.

Market capitalisation shed AED 965 million and ended the session at AED 518.25 billion.

The energy sector fell by 1.06% as Dana Gas’ stock dropped by 1.48%, followed by the banks sector that slipped 0.15%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose by 1.57% backed by Aldar Properties that went up by 1.40%, and the telecommunication sector added 0.24%.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels’ stock headed the losers with 9.12%, while Emirates Driving’s stock led the winners with 15%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), down 0.80%, was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 21.83 million, while Eshraq Investment was the most active stock by volume with 17.47 million traded shares.
